31.05.2017

On September 28-29, 2017 the Second Belarus Forum ‘Broadening the Horizons: Investment, Finance, Development’ will be hosted in Minsk (Marriott Hotel). The event will bring together representatives of international and foreign financial institutions, investment funds, private foreign investors, technical assistance funds that finance the economy of Belarus, as well as representatives of public authorities, national business and expert community. The organizers of the forum are the National Agency of Investment and Privatization and local development fund New Economic Strategy.

“I want to emphasize the importance of the fact that this forum will be held again in Minsk. This demonstrates the openness to the arrival of international business and positively affects the investment image of Belarus,” noted Director of NAIP Natallia Nikandrava. “At the moment, the organizers have already approved the main directions of the forum program.”

This year, the leitmotif of the forum is the competitiveness development of the Belarusian economy in modern economic realities. The forum participants will try to answer the question of how to make Belarus a territory of advanced development. The main attention will be paid to intensifying efforts in implementing effective management systems, creating promising technologies, new products and services, and attracting resources for research and development.

In addition, during panel discussions experts will share information on opportunities and features of investment cooperation in such sectors as information technology, green economy, transport and logistics, real estate and development, tourism and hospitality, and will offer a new direction for cooperation – development of an international free trade zone of art objects in Belarus.

“Belarus needs an effective dialogue platform for foreign investors, state representatives and experts,” said Alexey Pikulik, Director of local development fund New Economic Strategy. “I'm sure it's time to find compromise solutions and move forward.”
