Belarus Academy of Sciences expands cooperation with “Philips”

As a part of promoting cooperation with «Royal Philips Electronics» on January 25-28, 2012 a delegation of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Academy’s «Center of LED and optoelectronics» paid a visit to the Netherlands.

The main purpose of the visit was to discuss promising directions for expanding bilateral cooperation including the production in Belarus of high-tech LED products using «Philips» modern components.

During the visit representatives of «Philips Lighting» made a presentation of the latest developments in electronics and LED technology. The Belarusian delegation visited the Centre of lighting solutions in Eindhoven where it was presented the innovative approaches to lighting offices and retail space, as well as got acquainted with the use of «Philips Lighting» LED equipment in the Dutch greenhouses.

The Ambassador of Belarus in the Netherlands Mrs. Elena Gritsenko and members of the delegation also met the leadership of «Philips Healthcare». The Dutch company demonstrated its achievements in the field of medical equipment and expressed its interest in expanding cooperation with Belarus healthcare institutions and relevant training and research organizations.

Following the visit agreements were reached on the specific modalities of cooperation in the field of LED products, as well as on the issues of interaction in the field of medical technology.
