On studying the experience of the Dutch cheese-makers

As a part of the Belarusian-Dutch cooperation in studying the Dutch experience and technologies in the field of dairy farming and milk processing, the fifth workshop «Cheese “Gouda” in accordance with the European Union standards» is being held for Belarusian specialists. The workshop takes place within April 2-6, 2012 at the facilities of educational and practical center of dairy farming «PTC-plus» in Oenkerk (Friesland) and is organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in the Netherlands.

The main purpose of such workshops for representatives of the Belarusian dairy enterprises is to expand the assortment of dairy products in Belarus and to increase its competitiveness on foreign markets.

The current workshop is attended by the experts of Belarus dairy companies «Bereza cheese-making plant», «Dairy World», «Rogachev milk canning plant», «Schuchin creamery», «Oshmyany cheese-making plant», «Lida milk canning plant», as well as representatives of the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University.

Workshop participants will study the Dutch innovative technologies in improving quality, increasing shelf life and safety of cheese production, determining antibiotics in milk. They will also visit one of up-to-date farms and a cheese-making factory.
