On the participation of a representative of the Embassy in the opening of a new freight railway service on the Rotterdam — Moscow route

On October 28, 2021, Mr. Stanislav Vassilevsky, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Netherlands, took part in the opening ceremony of a new freight railway service on the Rotterdam – Moscow route.

As part of the event, a round table was held on the development of sustainable multimodal routes based on the Western Europe – Central Asia railway corridor. The representative of the Embassy of Belarus presented the logistics system of Belarus and took part in the discussion of problematic and prospective issues for the development of this important cross-border project.

The round table was attended by representatives of the embassies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the port of Rotterdam, Dutch logistics companies and the media.

According to Belarusian statistics, in January-September 2021 the volume of transit container traffic in Belarus increased by 1.4 times compared to the same period in 2020.
